Advancing our health: prevention in the 2020s

Closes 14 Oct 2019

Consultation Contents

'Prevention is better than cure' is one of the oldest principles in medicine. It's better for the patient and the NHS if we can help to prevent someone becoming ill in the first place. In the past our public health interventions have treated everyone the same: the same message for the entire population. But every individual is different and advances in genomics, artificial intelligence and other new technologies offer the potential for far more personalised and targeted health interventions in the future.

In this consultation we want to hear your views on our proposals for a new approach for the health and care system.

To make it easier for you to respond to the questions, we have split them into chapters – please click on the chapter you wish to respond to.

When you complete a chapter click "continue" at the end of the chapter. You will return to this page and can select another chapter or, if you're ready to submit your responses, click "finish" at the bottom of this page.

Please restrict your answers to 250 words.
